Transitions

An exploration of metamorphosis, evolution and transformation. Transitions is an exhibition that explores the multifaceted nature of change, delving into the concept of transition through a diverse range of artistic perspectives.

From the visual language of match cuts in film to the personal explorations of change presented in subsequent works, the exhibition offers a comprehensive exploration of this universal theme through many eyes and many lived experiences. Spiritual journeys, personal transformations, the power of solitude, the beauty of happy accidents, and the ever-changing nature of time and place are all explored.

The exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the challenges and opportunities present in transitions, and to celebrate the growth and self-discovery that can occur as we navigate life’s inevitable changes.

"Change is the only constant." Aphorism ascribed to Heraclitus of Ephesus, 535 to 475 BCE.

The chemigram series by Emily Swift demonstrates how the artistic process itself is a series of transitions, yielding unexpected and unique results. "Lost & Found" by Herm Freeman depicts a landscape in transition, reflecting the constant change present in nature.
