Bridgeport CT by Tats Cru
The Knowlton's Bridgeport CT mural is painted by Tats Cru, one of the most recognized names in graffiti and mural art, whose founding member Wilfredo "Bio" Feliciano was born April 20, 1966, in New York.
Bio's career began in the early 1980s at the height of New York City subway graffiti. He is considered one of the top stylists, or letter masters, throughout the movement worldwide, known for his letter styles, wild styles and explosive use of color, and described as a true master of New York-style painting.
Bio is a founding member of Tats Cru, known as "The Mural Kings," originally called TAT Cru and founded by Brim, Mack and Bio in the eighties. Tats Cru's current active members alongside Bio are Hector "Nicer" Nazario and Sotero "Bg183" Ortiz.
Tats Cru's work has been featured in publications, movies, music videos and documentaries; painted in numerous countries; and lectured at M.I.T. and other U.S. universities. The crew represented New York City muralists as part of the Smithsonian Institution's 35th folklore festival in Washington, D.C.
