Minutes from Fairfield, on the water.
Fairfield and Southport families book The Knowlton for mitzvahs that feel high-energy and properly scaled: a custom dance floor, a lounge branded to the theme, three rooms to move through, and 200 free parking spaces at the door.
The closest waterfront room to Fairfield.
Straight down the Post Road or one exit on I-95, and the party is on the Pequonnock River in an 1883 factory with 27-foot ceilings and garage doors onto a 1,200 square foot deck. Close enough that grandparents are not making a journey of it.
One address, one unforgettable night.
Cocktail hour, the main event and the late night, each with its own energy, none of it requiring a shuttle.

The Cocktail Hour
Guests walk up to a bar branded in the theme before they even find their seats, colors and monogram on every glass.

The Party
The Boathouse turns into a dance floor built for a hundred kids at once, a video wall behind the DJ booth pushing the energy until the whole room is in it.

The Late Night
When the lights drop, the floor goes blacklight and the last hour becomes the one everybody actually talks about Monday morning.

Even the marquee spells out their name.
A few mitzvahs at The Knowlton.
The questions we get from Fairfield.
How far is The Knowlton from Fairfield?
Minutes away from Fairfield, down the Post Road or one exit along I-95 to Exit 27A. That is a measured free-flow drive rather than an estimate, so plan for a little more at rush hour. Parking is on site and free, with more than 200 secured spaces, so guests are not circling for a spot when they arrive.
How many guests can you hold for a mitzvah?
The Boathouse is the big room, up to 350 seated or up to 500 cocktail-style, with garage doors onto the waterfront deck. The Wilder Gallery holds up to 125 seated, the Armstrong Gallery up to 86 seated or up to 125 standing. Many families use more than one across the day.
Is there parking for all of our guests?
Yes. More than 200 secured on-site spaces, free for every guest, which is genuinely rare in Fairfield County. Attendants can be arranged for larger events.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes. Outside caterers are welcome, including kosher and specialty caterers, and we host them regularly. Lighting and video are exclusive to our in-house team.
Come see the room before you theme it.
Tell us the date, the guest count and the theme. We will walk you through the Boathouse, the galleries and the arcade room, and show you exactly how custom this gets.
